S50 Health’s next VP, Creative Director is going to be a powerhouse with a passion for the craft of language, design and communication.

The perfect candidate will be excited to help both build out our growing DTC healthcare practice and get close to the work. Responsibilities:

  • You will report to the Executive Creative Director // Partner of the agency and help shape the direction of S50 Health in defining our focus, building stellar creative teams and driving the direction of the creative
  • You will be a client leader for 3+ core integrated businesses to inspire best-in-class work and push fresh, consumer-centric thinking
  • You will be an active participant in creative deliverables; While you will manage a team of 3-7 to start, everyone wears a lot of hats so you may be expected to roll up your sleeves and concept and execute as needed
  • You will partner very closely with the Account leads on businesses to ensure client satisfaction, business growth and identify new opportunities. The VP, CD is expected to win new business and lead creatives in the pitch process with the support of the ECD
  • You will develop a complete understanding of the business goals of our clients, audiences they target and channels we execute for them and will have a proven track record of doing so with previous client engagements
  • Have are working with VPs of strategy, CX and account managers to develop a strong understanding of the businesses, treatment categories, and clinical developments in order to lend a creative strategy POV to clients
  • You’ll assist in driving tight, action-oriented briefs and unearthing incredible, salient insights
  • You lead teams and work with empathy and a consumer-centric pov, you guide your teams to understand what makes consumers tick and you help craft impactful communications to deliver on the brand promise
  • Help the team achieve creative excellence as well as mentoring and empowering their career growth,
  • You will have extensive experience in helping PMs manage creative team workload, profitability and on-time delivery and bring successful strategies to do so
  • You will be a huge cultural influence for our team. Keeping up the high-energy, collaborative spirit already engrained into our everyday
  • You have an intimate knowledge of what it takes to guide the creative process for healthcare clients and be expected to guide the team with best practices but also know when to push the envelope
  • You are hungry and have the spark to do great work, learn new technologies and actively understand the latest digital and can enthusiastically participate
  • You are a force for innovation in the agency, keeping up with where the industry is advancing to and working with our technology team to inspire new products utilizing AI and other new tech
  • You will effectively be able to manage and shift resources, project staffing needs and manage budgets

Requirements:

  • 10-15 yrs proven experience spanning creative direction, editorial, design, agency, digital, branded content for DTC healthcare/pharma brands, and 8+ years managing conceptual and digital creative teams with a bonus if you have experience outside of the vertical
  • You’ve built creative teams before for large scale clients or multiple at once
  • You thrive in small, nimble environments and are very resourceful. To you, small and nimble means you get to call more of the shots, have ownership over more aspects of the business and decision-making and know your impact is exponentially larger to this agency
  • You know the Med-Legal-Reg processes intimately and have been through them countless times for a variety of companies and brands
  • You must be incredibly detail-oriented and able to help your team juggle a lot of moving parts
  • You are a great communicator with outstanding presentation skills. You are clear, concise, thoughtful and charismatic to internal teams, clients and management
  • Must have experience working with account managers to define process for your creative team and manage creative deliverables
  • Will thrive in an incredibly fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and creatively demanding environment, with the ability to balance multiple projects at once with tight deadlines and schedules. So, your problem-solving skills are on-point
  • Are no stranger to rolling your sleeves up and pitching in to do the work when needed. You have a working knowledge of what it takes to concept a great campaign and also deliver an amazing digital experience
  • Awards, lots of great awards, but not the overbearing ego that sometimes goes with them
  • You’ve stayed current on the latest technologies and trends in the industry and you know how to apply them
  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing multiple teams and multiple businesses at once
  • Incredibly strong work ethic. We have a blast but take the TEAM concept seriously, so we don’t let each other down

  • This is a hybrid role, it will require a certain amount of time in the office (CT) and clients (Tri-state). Specifics will be discussed during interview process. You must have the ability to travel to meet client and agency needs
  • The availability and commitment to work extra hours as needed to ensure client satisfaction
  • A KILLER portfolio of Consumer Pharmaceutical Advertising/Digital and non-pharma is a bonus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising/Marketing, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Communications, Writing or related discipline preferred
